Kimberly-Clark’s brands which include Huggies, Kleenex, Scott, Kotex, are an indispensable part of life for people in more than 175 countries. Kimberly-Clark’s GBS unit in KL provides services to 13 countries and the scope of services include Finance & Accounting, Procurement Operations, Regional Treasury Operations, Tax and Travel and Expenses.


Prior to joining Kimberly Clark, Puneet worked with HSBC for over 18 years with leadership roles in 5 different countries.


Arno Kamm

General Manager
Roche Services and Solutions, APAC

Arno Kamm is currently the General Manager, Roche Services and Solutions, APAC effective 1 January 2021. 


Arno’s appointment will play a critical role in leading RSS APAC’s continuous growth strategy as the organisation expands to support Roche affiliates throughout the Asia Pacific region with its growing portfolio of services covering IT, Finance, Procurement and HR services.


Having worked for Roche for more than 19 years, Arno brings solid experience and skills from various roles held in Pharma Finance supporting Research, Global Product Development, Manufacturing and Partnering Functions. Arno moved to his current position in RSS APAC after building up and leading Business Process Management Transactional Finance Pharma for almost two years as Global Business Process Owner and leading a Global key transformational Program to move end-to-end activities and accountability to RSS locations. Arno was based in Basel, Switzerland.


Armed with a master’s degree from the University of Applied Science in Pforzheim, Germany, Arno is an avid mountain biker and a passionate cook who enjoys all types of cuisine


Mohd Zulkeflee Ab Wahab

Zul has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Mara University of Technology (UiTM) with over 29 years of working experience in the field of Accounting which includes 17 years in Procure to Pay (P2P).


Zul started his career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company back in 1992. He joined his first Shared Service Centre (SSC) Company BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre in 2004 as a pioneer before moving and setup Asia-Pacific SSC for Hitachi Data Systems in 2009. He then joined AstraZeneca Asia-Pacific Business Services in 2012 as a Global Process Expert for P2P. He leads the P2P work stream in designing and documenting the P2P global “To-Be” processes which is standardize, simple, globally aligned processes with end-to-end ownership under the Global Finance Process Transformation umbrella.


Zul is now with Worley as their Product Manager for P2P and O2C. He is also leading the Finance Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for their SSC. Prior joining Worley, Zul was with Roche Services (Asia-Pacific) as a Head of P2P. His key achievements include setting up P2P services for Roche Services & Solutions APAC Centre in KL.

Akhil Kapoor currently leads as the Head of Novartis Global Service Centre Kuala Lumpur (NGSC KL) in Malaysia, a position he assumed in early 2021. He has more than ten years of tenure in Novartis, spanning various leadership roles in different Novartis entities and geographies including India, South Africa and most recently in Kuala Lumpur. In addition to his role as CTS NGSC Head, Akhil also holds the role of Head of Procurement in Kuala Lumpur.

The team comprises of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Finance Hub, and Site Admin and Facilities. The key focus of the centre is to drive its shared services towards world-class capabilities – process standardisation, robust controls, continuous improvement culture and consistent achievement of KPIs. Prior to taking this role, Edsil has held various senior positions in human resources.

SYED HUSSAIN TAHA General Manager of Shell Business Operations KL Syed is currently the General Manager of Shell Business Operations Kuala Lumpur. In his current capacity, Syed is accountable for delivering an efficient and flexible platform of infrastructure and people management structures that enable the delivery of global operations to the Shell Group. He is also a member of Shell Malaysia Country Coordination Team.


Spanning 31 years in Shell, Syed brings with him a diverse experience working with various Upstream and Integrated Gas businesses. He started his Shell journey in 1990 and worked in several technical roles in Malaysia. In 1997, he took on an assignment with Petroleum Development Oman and returned to Malaysia in 2001 to join Shell Gas & Power as a tecno-commercial professional supporting the governance of She for equity in the Malaysia LNG Dua and Tiga joint ventures. Syed moved to Japan as General Manager LNG & Strategy in 2008, supporting Shell's LNG marketing initiatives and business development activities with Japanese customers and partners. From 2013 to 2017, Syed was appointed as General Manager Market Access based in Jakarta, Indonesia to oversee the gas/LNG market development activities. Upon returning to Malaysia, Syed became the Advisor of Shell Malaysia/Sarawak Shell where he was responsible for the overall Shell's PETRONAS stakeholder management and PSC Management Office.


Syed has a Bachelor of Science (High Honours) in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland USA. On the personal front, Syed is married to Sharifah Salwa and has three children. His hobbies includes travel and music. He is also a "catdaddy" and his 11 cats have nearly half a million followers on TikTok.

Ives Barcelli has 17 years of professional experience across all regions and functions, most notably, Trade Marketing, Commercial Finance and Corporate Finance. He has working experience in many countries including Peru, Brazil, UK, Costa Rica, Mexico and Malaysia.

Being an Industrial Engineer, Ives is passionate about process improvement and productivity drive and this is where he has devoted most of his energy throughout his career, proud to have been part of and have led high performing teams, responsible for delivering across the years GBP100mn+ in COGS productivity, GBP 50mn+ working capital improvements, as well as sustainable revenue management initiatives in several countries.

His current role is Head of Corporate Finance for GBS APME in BAT, as well as Global Process Lead for R2R, where GBS is having a leading role in the overall transformational agenda in BAT. Over the past years, BAT has been consistently migrating it’s middle office to GBS centres in KL, Bucharest and Costa Rica, and is in the midst of the most crucial time of this journey to land the right structures, a high functioning team with fit-for-future capabilities, and a drive for efficiency that goes beyond the realms of GBS, into becoming a true business partner and solution provider for our internal customers.

Mr Mah started his career as an account manager with Alcatel Malaysia before taking on regional roles within the Alcatel organisation throughout ASEAN. Prior to joining InvestKL, he was the Head of Innovation at TIME dotCom. Since joining InvestKL in 2014 as HOD and Director of Investor Relations (Asia), Mah has successfully assisted renowned multinationals and fast-growing companies from the Asia and Oceania regions in setting up and expanding their regional functions in Greater KL. Some of the companies include SOCAR, Kadokawa Gempak Starz, PersolKelly COE.

Mr Mah possesses in-depth market knowledge on Southeast Asia, Indo-China and the Philippines. He also has a robust sense of business acumen with keen focus in Application, Services and Digital New Media, particularly on ‘Over the Top’ (OTT) delivery business strategy for convergence technologies.

Matthias drives the digital transformation in Controlling at Bayer by combining business acumen, technical knowledge and the ability to drive results. He enjoys providing innovative, digital solutions that make a difference in the work life of decision makers and fellow analysts.

In his current role in Corporate Controlling, he is leading the CFO app project team that created a leap in digitizing the reporting and analytics processes for the Group CFO and senior stakeholders. The solution provides all steering relevant information together in one holistic overview to driving transparency on our major KPIs and beyond. The value created was recognized beyond Bayer by Microsoft writing a customer success story and by presenting on the Microsoft Business Application Summit in May 2021.

Previously he was driving significant efficiencies by leading diverse and interdisciplinary teams to shape and roll-out global standard reporting processes to more than 1.500 active worldwide users. These processes automated management reporting and standard analytical processes and shifted manual work into our remote shared service center locations.

Working in several global and local roles in Controlling and IT, Matthias gained a vast experience in reporting & analytics, content management, community management, business intelligence and integration projects.

Laura is very passionate about the topics of organizational change, mindset and culture. She has been driving the implementation of the “Liquid Organization” in her team for the past year, hosting feedback sessions, moderating discussions and monitoring the progress of change. In general, she enjoys open brainstorming with the team, thinking out of the box and pushing for the next step in innovation. Since the beginning of 2021, Laura is doing research on possible post-pandemic remote working models.

In her current role, Laura builds on her experience in project and change management to increase efficiency and effectiveness in Bayer’s finance function by digitizing group planning and reporting processes. She works hands-on with different software and stakeholders from several functions, building scenario and sensitivity analyses for group planning as well as self-service reporting for the CFO. By combining business and process knowledge with tech-savviness, she strives to generate insights, trigger the right questions, encourage data-driven discussions, and ultimately enable better decision making at board level.

Dr Sumitra Nair

Sumitra is Vice-President & Head of Digital Skills and Jobs at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). She leads MDEC’s digital talent development and inclusion initiatives. To-date her work has impacted more than 2 million Malaysians via digital skills and income opportunities.

She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Monash University School of Business and Economics. Her past roles include leadership and advisory positions in corporate responsibility and sustainability portfolios at DiGi Telecommunications and Telenor ASA (Norway).

Sumitra holds a PhD in Business & Economics from Monash University Malaysia, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), an Executive Management Certificate in International Marketing from INSEAD University, as well as a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from University Malaya. Our business includes manufacture and sale of tobacco and nicotine products (traditional cigarettes, vaping products, tobacco heated products, and modern oral products) as well as some non nicotine products. B.A.T is a truly global organization and operates in around 180 countries with around 55,000 employees.

B.A.T has its inhouse shared services team called Global Business Solutions (GBS) which is a part of Digital Business Solutions (DBS) function. GBS currently operates through four hubs located in Asia (Malaysia & Pakistan), Europe (Romania), and South America (Costa Rica). Recently, for a third consecutive year, B.A.T GBS was ranked among the “Top 20 Most Admired SSO 7 GBS in the World” by SSON. GBS team currently offers solutions to B.A.T commercial units in aspects of Controllership (which includes planning, budgeting, and reporting), Product Cost reporting, Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Transactional Procurement, and Human Resource Shared Services.

GBS is in the process of setting up two new hubs in Poland, and Mexico during 2021 as part of transformational journey to expand into new service and solutions lines e.g. Commercial Finance, Marketing Research and Revenue Growth Management related analytics etc.

Shahid is currently performing the role of General Manager for GBS, Malaysia as well as Global Head of GBS Finance.  He joined BAT in 1997 in Pakistan, and has completed assignments in Nigeria, Senegal, South Korea, Vietnam, Turkey and Indonesia.

In addition to being part of business unit strategy formulation in various leadership roles, he has contributed to many cross functional strategic projects including  business unit integration, M&A opportunity analysis in various markets, effective capital management projects leading to significant savings. Shahid has always strongly driven the talent development in his area, as he strongly believes that people are the most important success factor of any team. In GBS Malaysia he is driving a high focus on laying down foundations of digital capabilities, as part of the global transformational journey of GBS.
